The company was incorporated as a special purpose vehicle company in the Republic of Namibia by the founder members to take the implementation of the Angra Fria Port and Rail Project forward.
Our in-house engineering, legal, commercial, logistics, transportation and financial planning expertise used the results from a market analysis, viability assessment study and financial modelling exercise that they have done for bulk commodities in the greater project area, to define a robust commercial business case with a technically sound operating concept and an out-bound / inbound supply chain that are cost efficient and effective as well as capable of competing with existing well-established and mature international supply chains in the market segment.
Virtuous value-add, knowledge transfer and ongoing institutional capacity building are fully integrated into our owner-engineered solution-based architecture as well as the use of disruptive technology and “smart” decision support systems.
This approach ensures and safeguards quality, consistent service levels and predictable revenue streams for a capital intensive project such as the Angra Fria Port and Rail Project.
The development and implementation of the Angra Fria Port and Rail Project are further enhanced and underpinned by our unique engineering, logistics and financial methodologies in the following key areas:
Configuration of least-cost design based parameters and supply chain optimisation
Agility, benchmarking and real time performance measurements on an end-to-end basis throughout the supply chain
Referential collaboration and optimized structuring arrangements to facilitate leveraging options as well as the creation of economies of scale
Investment and project funding expertise to structure project specific financial instruments
Engineering, procurement, programming and construction contracts management
Development of downstream value chains and beneficiation.
A centralised project office will be used to integrate project planning, programming, operational control and co-ordination as well as effective liaison with all key stakeholders.
